June 2006 - Febuary 2007: Travels through South America
Countries visited: Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile & Argentina.
Lived with an indigineous Ecuadorian Andean family for a month, worked on a farm in Bolivia, involved with a rainforest conservation programme.
June - September 2005: Thailand, Laos and Sweden
Travelling through the popular traveller trails through Thailand before off the beaten track in Laos. Four weeks in Kiruna, Arctic Sweden embarking mountaineering and canoeing expeditions before travelling in southern Sweden.
June - August 2002: China and Taiwan
Climbed highest mountain in Taiwan, travelled up the Yangtze to see three gorges dam project in construction, attended a marshal arts training monastary and camped on the Great Wall of China.
December 2000 - June 2001: Philippines, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji
Involved in a conservation project in the Philippines before travelling across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
Shorter trips include Czech Republic, Morocco, Kenya, South Africa, Poland and the USA.

March 2008: Polarventure Expedition to the Canadian Arctic Attempted to ski as a team of two across Penny Ice Cap, Baffin Island, Canadian Arctic. Retreated due to extremely cold temperatures of -50C.

July - August 2006: Mountain Leader and Advance Party member to the British Schools Exploring Society (BSES) Peruvian Andes Expedition
In charge of a group of eight 16-19 year olds for six weeks of high altitude trekking and mountaineering in the Cordiallia Blanca. High camp at 4,900m and highest point reached of 5,000m.
August - September 2005: Arctic Sweden Independently launched trekking and canoeing expeditions in Arctic Sweden which was primarily off marked paths.
July to August 2004: Trainee Leader for BSES Iceland Expedition Six weeks leading and training to lead in the Icelandic wilderness.
July to August 2001: Young Explorer for BSES Svalbard (Spitzbergen) Expedition Five weeks travelling across the ice caps and glaciers of Svalbard. Recorded a programme for BBC Radio 4.
January to April 2001: Marine and Rainforest Conservation Project in Philippines with Coral Cay Expeditions. Three months surveying coral reefs and rainforest. Activities involved mist netting, diving, transects, insect traps, mammal traps and butterfly catching.

January 2007: Aconcagua (6,957m), Argentina Attempted normal and polish route. Retreated at 6500m.
December 2006: Huayna Potosi (6,008m), Bolivia Alpine grade: PD.
September 2006: Volcano Imbambura (4,606m), Ecuador High altitude trekking peak.
August 2006: Nevado Pisco (5,752m), Peru Solo climbed. Alpine grade: PD.
September 2005: Kebnekaise (2,111m), Sweden Led a group of two up the highest mountain in Sweden.
July 2002: Yushan (3,995m), Taiwan Guided trip up the highest mountain in Taiwan.
